| Description: | Fruitlands will be the focal point of local Independence Day celebrations with a day of activities on Friday, July 3rd. This will be a great day to bring the whole family to enjoy everything that Fruitlands has to offer. Visitors may tour the galleries, browse through an art fair, listen to music, or just relax on the lawn with a picnic. Food, ice cream, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase in the restaurant tent throughout the afternoon. This is the first year that Harvard's Board of Selectmen voted to allow the museum to sponsor the fireworks. The wide lawn, which offers a spectacular view from Mount Wachusett to Monadnock by day, will provide an excellent vantage point for the evening's patriotic display. Rain date is set for Sunday, July 5. |
