Description: Indian Lake Community Association presents Arts in The Garden at the Community Teaching Garden Literacy Project featuring musician P.E. James and poet Joe Fusco, Jr. Admission is FREE, and patrons are encouraged to bring non-alcoholic beverages, folding chairs, and snacks to this family friendly event. The performance area is across the street from Strands Ski Shop (3 West Boylston Drive, Worcester), and there is plenty of street parking available.

P.E. James (pejamesmusic.com) has been entertaining audiences by singing and playing acoustic guitar for over four decades. He performs at concerts and at restaurants all through central Massachusetts and is also enjoyed on the circuit of over 100 Memory Cafes, assisted living, retirement, Senior Centers, and rehabilitation facilities. He has completed his thirteenth consecutive year at Worcesters Grill on the Hill restaurant in Green Hill Park.
He has been the featured headliner twice at the Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham, MA, and has performed his song The Pantyhose Blues at a well-known stage in Nashville, TN. He has twice sung the National Anthem for the Worcester Red Sox baseball games at Polar Park.
P.E. writes and performs cover songs and original material, and his recordings have been played on radio stations in both Worcester, Massachusetts and his native Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His recordings are available for listening at his web site.

Joe Fusco, Jr. (joesyellowpad.com) is a humorist/poet from Worcester, Massachusetts. He is the author of four books of poems and essays: Pondering the Pandemic during The Rust years (2021); HmmThats Different (2020); Three Score (2014); and The Lost and Found Essays (2012), all available at local bookstores and Amazon.
Joes musings have also appeared in Damfino Press, Ballard Street Poetry, Worcester Review, Asinine Poetry, Soul Lit, and the ezine Clean Sheets. He was a co-winner of the Jacob Knight Poetry Award in 2002, and was named Best Poet by Worcester Magazine readers in 1999 and 2002. He is the Vice-President of Programming for the Worcester County Poetry Association.
He is also a humor columnist for Worcester Magazine and was the last Worcester Mega-Slam winner in 2017. Joe features at bookstores, libraries, clubs, and coffeehouses throughout Central Massachusetts and Belgium. Joe is the host of the Poetry Extravaganza at Redemption Rock Brewery in Worcester.
He taught Humor 101 for high-school students at Gateways Academy in Shrewsbury, and for adults at the Worcester Senior Center and Eisenberg Assisted Living
