| Description: | QUIET CORNER CONTRA DANCE, Fri. 04/07/2023 TIME: Dance 8:00-11:00pm [intro session 7:45 - 8:00 pm] WHERE: Patriot's Park Lodge @ 172 Lake Street, Coventry, CT 06238. ROLE TERMS: "Ladies & Gents" or "Women and Men" Bring your family, friends or just yourself to our traditional public contra dance! No fancy footwork needed to attend, just come, enjoy the friendly camaraderie, dance to live music and see everyone's smiling faces! CALLER: Sandy LaFleur. Hailing from Southern New Hampshire, she runs the successful Milford Contra Dance. LIVE MUSIC: "The French Connection Band", made up of Deck Nieforth (Harmonica and Spoons), Dan Lanier (fiddle) and Damaris Rohsenow (piano), play traditional contra dance tunes with a French accent. ADMISSION: $12.00 per person OR.. Students (with ID, please) are asked to pay $6. *Donations are greatly appreciated and encouraged! CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Clothing is casual, layers are best for this invigorating exercise. Please wear non-street shoes that move easily on the floor (rubber soled sneaker are discouraged). FOOD: Some snacks offered at the break. PARKING: There is plenty of free parking right in front of the hall.
