| Description: | Join us at the Shrewsbury Public Library for an afternoon demonstration of traditional Irish music on flute and whistle performed by local musician, Deirdre Sweeney. Ms. Sweeney has spent many years involved in Irish traditional music, American fife and drum, and 18th-century colonial dance music, including teaching, performing, and arranging. She is also a member of the central Massachusetts Irish-language group Ár dTeanga Féin (meaning "Our Own Language") and encourages anyone with an interest in learning the language to visit their website www.adtf.org The concert will be held in person at the Library.
