|Description:||Unless the world feels real, the story will fail. So how to make the fictional ring true? Join bestselling author Tilia Klebenov Jacobs as we learn the art of world-building: combining plot, character, and setting in such a way as to make them solid, believable, and artistically compelling.
Instructor Tilia Klebenov Jacobs is the bestselling author of two crime novels, one middle-grade fantasy book, and numerous short stories. She is a judge in San Francisco's Soul-Making Keats Literary Competition, a reviewer for IndieReader.com, and a board member of Mystery Writers of America-New England. HarperCollins describes her as one of "Crime fiction's top authors." Tilia has taught middle school, high school, and college; she also teaches writing classes for prison inmates. She lives near Boston with her husband, two children, and pleasantly neurotic standard poodle.
This program is being held in person at the Main Library and virtually through Zoom.
