Description: For our next meeting we will be discussing, The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. LeGuin.

Published in 1971, The Lathe of Heaven is considered one of the great classics of science fiction. In our world, some people can consciously change the direction of their dreams. In LeGuin's depiction of Portland, Oregon in 2002, a man's dreams can change reality. The novel received nominations for the 1972 Hugo and the 1971 Nebula Award, and won the Locus Award for Best Novel in 1972. It has been adapted for TV twice, once by PBS and once by the A&E Network.
