Description: 07-182 Introduction to Oil Pastels

This is a fun, easy and quick way to create art! Anyone with a true desire to paint will be successful in this class! There is no need for setting up various mediums, solutions, brushes or anything else. All you need is a sheet of paper to get started. Please have these supplies for the first class. Good quality oil pastels, preferably by Sennelier for the serious artist. Reeves, Cray-Pas and others are good also but look for artist quality verses student quality, maybe a set of 12 to 24 oil pastels to get started. Walmart has the least expensive, $2 - $14. A pad of paper, Cranston makes pads for mixed media for $8 - $13 per pad. You will also need tortillion sticks or rubbing sticks, between $5 - $7 for six. Approximate cost: $25. Also bring in paper towels or a clean cloth. 5 weeks/10 hours
