Description: Each of our most common large woody perennial vines Poison Ivy, Fox Grape, Virginia Creeper, and Asiatic Bittersweet-has a different adaptation for climbing high into the forest canopy. Learn about these and other vine species, including annuals with large fragrant flowers, thorns, and fantastic seed pods.

This two-part program meets on Sunday afternoons and looks in-depth at segments of the natural world. Classes will be both indoors and outdoors using photos and specimens. There will be ample time to explore the sanctuary trails and put our practical knowledge to use. This fun and informative series is equally suitable for beginners as well as those who wish to deepen their knowledge of natural history. Joe Choinieres outdoor knowledge is both broad and deep. His gentle, hands-on teaching style makes it enjoyable and easy to learn. For more information and to register, call 508-753-6087.
