Description: Join us for a gentle canoe outing on the Blackstone River. This is the perfect experience for novice paddlers and wildlife watchers: early evening provides beautiful light to explore quiet waters and observe nature. Learn about the history of the Blackstone River, as well as wetland plants, dragonflies, birds, and beavers while experiencing the calmness of midsummer.Bring water and a snack.
Meet near the boat launch at the far end of the Tri River Health Center parking lot along Hartford Ave. Bring water and a snack. Water shoes are recommended. We provide canoes, paddles, personal flotation devices, and basic paddling instruction. Storm date is July 25. For more information and to register, call 508-753-6087.
