| Description: | This is a 2 session class happening on 2 consecutive Saturdays from 6-9 PM. Session 1: Saturday, 7.27.2019, 6-9 PM Session 2: Saturday, 8.3.2019, 6-9 PM Ticket sales END: 7/23/19 @ 11:30 PM Class Description: TIG welding is a precision welding process with truly epic versatility. Over the course of two 3 hour segments, well cover the foundation of TIG welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Well discuss setting and maintaining the machine as well as the challenges associated with different joint configurations. Some time will also be devoted to related skills such as TIG Brazing, Thermal management and working with Exotic Metals. This is a great course for those in need of a precision welding process, those working with nonferrous metals, and anyone looking for the pinnacle of welding challenges. Minimum Enrollment: 2 / Maximum Enrollment: 6 Please provide us with BOTH a contact number & email to ensure you are properly notified of course changes. Requirements include: TIG welding requires skill, patience, and perhaps above all, material preparation, as such completion of METAL 101 is strongly recommended to make the most of this course. Appropriate shop attire Nonflammable clothing, esp cotton or natural fibers Long sleeves recommended Closed toed shoes, boots preferred Hair tied back, jewelry stowed Earplugs recommended HOW TO FIND US! Turn in at the Blue Hive parking lot (233 Stafford St.) drive to the back of the lot and turn right to go behind the building. There will be a large garage door. The entrance to the WorcShop is the door on the right with the blue awning. |
