Description: 06-249 Flow Yoga

This yoga class features a vinyasa approach to linking the conscious breath to an energizing and mindful flow. As we move through the class, you will learn how to coordinate the breath through a flowing sequence. Students awaken their strength, energy and flexibility while increasing concentration and calming the mind. At the end of each class, students will enjoy a guided meditation by the instructor. Both yoga and meditation help to reduce stress, improve physical and mental health, and increase overall happiness. Please arrive to class at least 5 minutes early with a yoga mat, water and small blanket for meditation. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid heavy eating within an hour of class. 6 weeks/6 hours

Chelsea Murray is a certified yoga teacher and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching for 3 years. Her interest in the mind and body was sparked after her mother received a certification and began teaching yoga when Chelsea was only 12 years old. Chelsea fell in love with the practice and decided to pursue a certification of her own. She attended Frog Pond Yoga Center in Princeton, Ma where she received a 200hr RYT certification. She believes yoga and meditation can greatly benefit the quality of ones life. By taking the time to slow down in todays fast-paced world and sync back up with your true self, you can start to lead a happier and healthier life. Chelseas classes offer an energizing vinyasa flow to release tension and stiffness in muscles while lengthening and strengthening the body. She strives to offer creative asana sequences while syncing with the breath to nourish your mind, body and soul. Along with a focus on mindful asanas she offers a guided mediation at the end of each class with a focus on self-awareness. She strongly believes in the many benefits of mediation including stress reduction, increased happiness and improved concentration.
