Description: Join author and forest service volunteer Chris Blake in a free talk and discussion about the East Coast's first official wilderness area, 250 miles to the north of Atlanta. Chris will address topics such as the black bears, forest fires, recreational activities in the wild, and how digital technology brings the "Grand Canyon of the East" into our homes and schools and libraries. The Friends of Linville Gorge invite Atlantans to befriend this special get-away area by attending this informal introduction. All ages.
