|Description:||Albert Castiglia (pronounced ka-STEEL-ya) arrived on the International radar after Buddy Guy's iconic harp-blower, Junior Wells, heard the young bluesman sing and invited him into his solo band for several world tours. He has been named "Best Blues Guitarist" by Miami New Times, the respected alternative music magazine and honored by Roots Music Report with a Top Blues Album of 2011 and 2012. Blues Blast's Kim Derr call it "the best album I've listened to this year".
Ask Castiglia what it takes to become a good Blues player & hell say you have to go to the "college of the Blues," Chicago! And thats where this young guitar slinger spent several years honing his craft and learning from the masters. When he finally returned to his South Florida stomping grounds, he found himself to be an in-demand player with a large fan base. Playing in Chicago is just like going to college, Albert says. Its the equivalent of going to Harvard to study law. For me it was the greatest educational experience I could have. I went and played and saw what the Blues is really all about and was exposed to many different styles.
"Up All Night" is an apt title for Albert's seventh album because nobody sleeps when this man is in town. After 27 years of house-rocking studio albums and smack-in-the-mouth live shows, the Florida bandleader is the acknowledged master of red-raw, sweat-and-hair blues that gives it to you straight. If you're feeling down, Albert will bring you up. If you're already up, he takes you higher.
The Bull Run is a full-service, farm-to-table restaurant in a pre-revolutionary tavern, located about 35 miles NW of Boston, with plenty of free parking and rustic, old-world charm.
