Description: 05-001 Massachusetts High School Equivalency Exam Preparation Course (HiSET)

Formally known as the GED, HiSET is a new, revised exam designed to better prepare students who are looking to enter post secondary educational programs, job training programs, and obtain more successful career opportunities. This course will cover Mathematics, Reading, Critical thinking skills, and Writing. A basic knowledge of using a computer will be helpful, as the test will be administered by computer. Students must have access to a computer during this course. Required Course Materials: notebook, writing utensil, and the TI 30XS Calculator. Class is limited to 12 students. 10 weeks/30 hours

Kenneth Doane II grew up in central Massachusetts where he attended Nichols College to obtain his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Business Administration. Kenneth has taught at numerous locations from high schools to business classes at Center for Women & Enterprise. Outside the classroom, he enjoys traveling the world and playing sports.
