Description: Be a Friend First (BFF) includes eight sessions geared to help girls develop relationship and leadership skills, prevent bully behavior and become peacemakers in their school and community. This program will include hands-on activities, engaging discussion opportunities and the space for girls to practice new skills and develop meaningful friendships. Most important, BFF challenges girls to identify local relationship issues, create needed solutions to deal with relational aggression in their lives and communities and lead the positive change. In the BFF program, girls will receive a copy of the aMAZE! journey book that will function as a map, tour guide, journal and handbook for your personal experience. Badges and snack also included. We will meet weekly, except for the weeks of 2/18 and 2/25. This program is free of charge thanks to generous funding from the United Way of Central Massachusetts Womens Initiative. *This program is for girls in grades 5-6 only and open to any girl who resides in Worcester, regardless of Girl Scout affiliation
