A multi level class where utilization of props can accommodate both the beginner and the advanced. All students can feel comfortable learning. The student is supported through the fine tuning of asana and modification.
This class incorporates breath mindfulness, meditation, strength, balance and increased flexibility.
Introduce yourself to new poses methodically, with various ways to meet the poses wherever your body can.
Gain strength in body and mind while shedding layers of tension as you learn to work the body holistically, rather than as separate pieces.
The use of props and the wall are always incorporated, with the choice to move on from those aids when YOU are ready.
Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.
